College Sports

There’s a lot to cheer about when it comes to college sports in Lawrence, Kansas. 

Haskell Indian Nations University has eleven sports teams including the Cross Country team that Olympian Billy Mills first ran for. 

The University of Kansas - home of the Jayhawks - has sixteen NCAA Division I sports teams including the storied Men's Basketball program which has helped catapult dozens of ballplayers into the NBA. Catch them in action every fall and winter at Allen Fieldhouse. Fall home football weekends are some of the most fun and festive in Lawrence. The annual KU Relays in the spring is a tradition that's been around for nearly 100 years - and a great place to spot a future track and field Olympian or two.
