Lawrence Summer of Fun Pass
eXplore Lawrence is launching the Summer of Fun Pass on Memorial Day, May 29, 2023. The pass will run until August 31, 2023. The main objective of the pass is to highlight Lawrence as a family-friendly destination for summer travel. The pass will encourage locals and travelers through mobile gamification to explore family-friendly locations throughout the city.
Benefits
The Lawrence Summer of Fun Pass is a free program designed to encourage locals and visitors to visit family-friendly locations attractions, recreation, shopping, and treat locations. eXplore Lawrence awards prizes to pass holders who check in and redeem offers at participating locations. Check-ins are worth 100 points each, and offer redemptions are worth 50 points each. Prizes range from Summer of Fun buttons (300 points) to an Unmistakably Lawrence Bucket Hat (1200 points).

How it works
The pass is mobile-exclusive, and no purchase is necessary. The location redemption process is GPS-based, with visitors simply checking in to each location from their phone’s home screen.
In the instance where a location offers a discount, pass holders present the given discount on their mobile device to staff to redeem. The deal or discount will be time-stamped at the time of redemption.

Materials
Each featured location gets a Lawrence Summer of Fun window cling and poster (see below). Posters are currently being delivered to locations, and clings will be delivered in the coming weeks. eXplore Lawrence is also in the process of ordering small giveaway items for each location to have as well. Businesses should display these items prominently so visitors know they are in the right place. Redemption instructions should be kept on hand if pass users have questions about the program.
Advertising
Lawrence Summer of Fun is a key component of eXplore Lawrence's summer marketing plans. The pass will be prominent on eXplore Lawrence's channels, including explorelawrence.com, social media, email newsletters, plus paid print, social, and online advertising. The Lawrence Passports Program is also promoted in our 2023 Unmistakably Lawrence Visitors Guide.
How to promote
Share with your visitors: Make sure your staff knows about the pass and has the tools needed to spread the word with your guests. Get familiar with nearby pass locations to assist visitors in continuing their quest. FAQs are posted below.
